When deciding to set this blog into dofollow platform, many advises came to me that the dofollow blog potentially got risk of spamming comments. However, I took the advises as a careful act to keep blogging happily.
After months, this blog has been holding dofollow platform, the comments, and of course the visitors count included, increase significantly. At least, when I do not have very unique attractive content, I can rely on the dofollow platform to invite the visitor to drop in. And yes it does, it works. I am happy with that for a moment.
Unfortunately, it seems that the comments which this blog receives begin some as "no sense" comment even some are less ethical, copying part of the contents and put it as written comment, putting only the links in comment box, etc.
However, I realize that is the risk. Deciding to set dofollow gives advantages, attracting the visitor to come and write any and hopefully relevant idea to pump the content popularity in search engine. On the other hand, dofollow platform also brings an unwanted disadvantage such as huge of spamming, irrelevant, and "rubbish sense" comments which latter potentially harm the blog.
This blog is pleased giving backlinks as many believe due to the dofollow setting. Come to my house, be pleasure my guest, feel free to write any idea as comments but please don't hurt this blog with your spamming comments.
Simply just reset to nofollow comments, then spamming comments will reduce

ReplyDeleteSadly this is the problem with switching to dofollow. It is a great way of encouraging people to visit and comment on your blog but it does mean you attract the spammers.
ReplyDeleteFor me, Aksimet catches most of it and the ones that do manage to slip through I have become good at spotting due to their poor English or making no sense at all.
